Este animal es consumido por algunas personas de las comunidades.<\/p><p>Fundesem tiene un convenio de gesti\u00f3n compartida del Parque con el\u00a0 Conap Consejo Nacional de \u00c1reas Protegidas, para la implementaci\u00f3n de una estaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica en el marco de la Estrategia Nacional para la Conservaci\u00f3n del Manat\u00ed (Trichechus manatus manatus).<\/p><p>Como parte del proyecto buscamos remodelar las instalaciones, dotar de equipo y tecnolog\u00eda que permita monitorear las especies y generar nuevas fuentes de empleo y aumentar el turismo en el \u00e1rea,
